Description
We are thrilled to announce our very first Catfish Match! The match will take place at Chittenden on the 28th of July, 2024.
All proceeds will be donated to a chosen charity by the club! (More information will be announced at a later date.)
Important Notice: The lake will be closed to our members on this day. Only individuals holding a golden ticket will be allowed to fish.
We have 20 spaces available, so act quickly! Once sold out, no more tickets will be available. All payments will be made via Bank Transfer to minimize transaction fees.
(This process needs to be done ASAP to confirm the ticket via email.)
Timeline of the Event:
- 7:10 AM: Quick briefing on rules
- 7:15 AM: Draw in the car park (We will draw your name and swim. This will be a random selection)
- 8:00 AM: Fishing can start
- 7:00 PM: Fishing ends
- 7:30 PM: Meet in the car park for the announcement of winners

- Biggest fish caught on the day
- Overall weight caught during the day
Rules:
- NO BAIT BOATS ALLOWED DURING MATCH
- REELS MUST BE SUITABLE FOR CATFISH (DO NOT TURN UP WITH CARP REELS)
- RODS MUST HAVE A 3 LB TEST CURVE OR HIGHER
- LANDING NET MUST BE AT LEAST 50 INCHES
- LARGE MAT REQUIRED
- BARBLESS HOOKS ONLY
- NO LIVE BAITING
If you catch a fish during the event, please net it if possible or ask the person next to you for help. However, do not take the fish out of the net or water. Our officials will handle this for you. They will weigh and log all fish on the day.
You may also bring a guest in the same car if you wish to have someone with you during the day.
